Hello, Found this site when I was researching to solve my problem. I registered and tried a search first before posting but did not find anyone who had a similar problem.
My Pentair LED Bubbler light which is mounted on my tanning ledge went out. It is 3 years old and the housing cracked and allowed water into the light and the board rusted inside causing the lights to go out. Prior to that the bubbler part would just spin around instead of making a nice fountain so the eyeball part inside failed. I called a well respected company to come fix the light. Fast forward 2 months later the new light engine from Pentair came in near $600 with 100' cord and the accessory kit for the eyeball to create the fountain effect of the water.
The tech went to remove the light and the cord is stuck in the conduit. It appears that the genius that built the pool allowed over spill of plaster and possibly concrete into the wiring conduit for the light. The tech chiseled out some of the plaster but now it is to a point where there is a possibility of damaging the conduit and causing a leak. Since the light is out about 3' into the pool in the middle of the tanning ledge I am hoping we wont have to jackhammer up the deck and pool just to replace the light. They have now had to go back and consult with electricians to figure out how to get the cord out. Has anyone had any experience like this and can share what was done to fix it? I am praying it doesn't involve jack hammers and chisels.
