Pentair Intelliflow turning off when using Intelliconnect

I just opened the pool today and the pump starts, primes, and adjusts to the correct RPM and then shuts off. This happens at the pump console and the Pentair app via Intelliconnect. I removed the pump from the app and it does the same thing. If I put the IntelliConnect into Service mode, the pump works as expected. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot? Pentair support won’t answer or perform callback.

Zero issues since original install 4 or 5 years ago. The app has had several revisions so unclear if it’s software related.

Confirm the app shows the pump OFF when the pump shuts itself off?

Or does the app show the pump ON?

With the pump disconnected from the app, show us a picture of the pump control panel when the pump shuts off.

If I have to manually start pump at console, I just press the 1/2/3/4 button and start correct?
Yes.

Put the IntelliConnect in SERVICE mode and run the pump. Then you do not need to disconnect the pump from the app.

Pentair support confirmed IntelliConnect on the latest software update. They also performed a factory reset at the pump. I went through the screens and put in code "0001" and then killed the power to the pump?

I readded the pump to IntelliConnect and same problem. It is currently running with IntelliConnect in SERVICE mode but I don't believe I am able to generate chlorine. For a short term fix, how do I generate chlorine?

With IntelliConnect ACTIVE, the pump screen is:

Pump Address 1
DISPLAY
Not Active.

Using Pentair app, I am able to start the pump, it primes, and settles at appropriate RPMS and then goes back to the "Pump Address 1" screen above. Then, it says 0RPM

Sometimes it doesn't finish priming/starting and stops.

It sounds to me like your pump speeds are not set in the app.

I would delete and readd the VS speeds.

Is your IntelliChlor power controlled by one of the IntelliConnect relays?

When the RELAY1 or RELAY2 buttons on the control panel are pressed, the equipment connected to that relay is powered, and the system enters SERVICE mode.

Not using a relay. Direct connection using the cable. The console on IntelliChlor doesn't seem to work in Service mode. Can I disconnect pump communication cable, re-enable IntelliConnect, and then it will generate Chlorine, or will IntelliChlor want to communicate to pump?

You are using flow sensing with the SCG.

It looks like the IntelliConnect thinks RPM is 0 and thus not turning on the SCG.

Carefully check that the wire between the pump and the IntelliConnect is not damaged or nicked.

2 Pentair Tech support said the ONLY way to operate IntelliChlor is to disconnect the communication between the pump/SWG but that documentation contradicts that. Salt is RED (low) but Output is Green. Sanitize Output has 0 lights and using the console doesn't change anything. No damage to any wires.

Do I need to disconnect power to everything if I simply want to disconnect the communication lines at IntelliConnect for pump and IC?
You should turn off power to the devices before removing wires.

If you accidentally short the wires while removing them you can damage the comm chip.
