Pentair Intelliflo variable speed pump
Easy Touch Control Panel

My Pentair Intelliflo won’t run after power surge from lightning. The pump displays Alarm Priming Dry. I have tried the reset button and turning breaker off/on. It will temporarily clear the alarm message, but as soon as I try to start the pump the message comes back. The pump doesn’t even try to start.
Any sound advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can decide if this is sound advice.

It is a 10 year old pump. I would just replace it with an Intelliflo3 pump and move on.

Both the drive and motor are expensive pieces to replace and you don't know what got zapped by the lightning. I would assume the drive electronics. If you are a tinkerer then maybe you can find a parts donor pump to try and swap drives.

Is there any way to confirm that it is the pump or drive?

Nope.

If you bring it to a shop who can swap in a known good drive they can figure it out pretty quickly.

No way to diagnose it without some spare parts.
