Ok to piggy back on this thread I am in a similar boat. New pool with intellicenter that isn’t hooked up to wifi yet.

Things I have done, entered in username name and password in panel.

Tried to go to set up wifi and network and it says no Ethernet connection detected.

There is an antenna outside in the control panel.

The pool builder did hook up this “adapter “
Into my router/switch.

They are not talking.

When I go to the app it won’t even let me log in with credentials I entered into the panel outside I’m guessing because that panel has never connected to the internet to register?

Pool startup guys have been pretty unhelpful so trying to figure this out my own.

Not sure why some pics came in sideways is there a way to rotate them?

Yes you need those parts. Those are the POE and ethernet cable. They hooked that up to the RS485 jack as if it were an IntelliTouch or EasyTouch. Look in the manual and follow the instructions for IntelliCenter not EasyTouch or IntelliTouch. You should not hook the outdoor transceiver to the RS485 comm port. The power injector should be plugged into the 24v tap on the board as well as the Ethernet port on the board. Then the Ethernet cable goes from the power adapter to the outdoor transceiver.

Follow the installation instructions and connect the outside transceiver to the ethernet Cat5 socket that is currently empty.

Ok 10-4

So do I even need the wire they ran in how they have it hooked up now?

On this diagram I am confused on what the cat 6 and Poe plugs into outside after it’s hooked into the top part of the panel?

At the very top of the diagram in your picture it says IntelliTouch or EasyTouch. If any of the pages or instructions have those two words please ignore them they will only seek to confuse the connections. Inside the house you will connect the power adapter to the base station and a cat5/6 ethernet cable to your home router and you are done. At that point you should be connected to your network and be done.

Yes and both documents contain a bit of errata. There is no Figure 7. It got omitted and the figures go from 6 to 8. Connect the power for the indoor base station to the power adapter and a cat cable to your router. The ScreenLogic adapter that is shown in the earlier figures are for the IntelliTouch and EasyTouch. IntelliCenter does not need this adapter.

Finally got back to this today and got the adapter hooked up.

App will connect to a local pool but the outside panel was not picking up any wifi networks? Thats not the way I want it correct.

I was getting 3 full bars of service on my phone standing right next to it so not sure why it wouldnt pick up the wifi

@rstrouse @ajw22 not sure if you all saw the post above, but one thing I didnt mention was the pool builder left the other cable loose still screwed in to the low voltage connector only taking it off the outdoor receiver so its basically just dangling on the ground I think. Would this cause the units to not be able to communicate?

It sounds like you have the network connection all set up. Did you update the IntelliCenter firmware to 1.064? If you did not then you must and then you must use the IntelliCenter2 app Or it will not connect remotely.

@rstrouse We did do the firmware update. I called pentair yesterday and walked through some things.

#1) the user profile had not been submitted on the panel so that was probably the main issue.
#2) once that was setup, the unit registered and connected to the pentair server.
#3)There was no need to login to my wireless network as it still never did find mine....so I am not clear how the unit is working but it is working.

I had the rep walk me through the app and get some stuff setup as far as schedules, features and lights. Seems to be working correctly now.
