Pentair IntelliCenter Installation Questions/Issues

I've been surfing around the threads for some help with a couple of IntelliCenter installation questions. I'm not finding much, I suppose since they're still fairly new. Please go gentle on me. I'm not electric expert and I've seen some other people's questions on this not go over well...

- I've hooked up the wireless bridge that comes with the IntelliCenter. But when I go to the internet settings it's telling me 'No Ethernet Connection: No ethernet connection has been detected. Please verify that the cable is plugged in and try again.' I feel like maybe I'm missing something obvious? I've included a picture of the error and wiring for the module.

- I'm adding an IntelliValve to the gate-valve that controls the flow of my automatic debris removal system. It's a good distance from the equipment pad/shed, and the built-in chord for the valve doesn't reach. The total distance is approx. 30-35 feet. What's the best way to lengthen the cable? Order another IntelliValve cable and splice them together? Also, should I bury the cable inside an electrical PVC pipe, or is it ok to bury it on its own (obvious potential of breakage down the line)?

So far that's all I have. It has been quite the series of trial and error. Being as safe as I can! Everything is bonded and grounded. Completely screwed up drilling the hole into the pipe for the IntellipH. Heading to Lowe's now based on someone's suggestion to use a tee connector and bushing that the IntellipH can screw directly into instead of having to use the provided clamp. Otherwise, the system has been running beautifully for about a week now! I'll post pics of the system once I'm completely done.

This could be many factors. I'll try to hit on some possibilities.
1. How far is the IntelliCenter from your wireless router or wireless access point (WAP)? You may need to boost the Wireless Transmit Power. Navigate to your Network and WiFi Setup Screen (Advanced System Configuration). The system defaults to AUTO. Choose the wireless transmit power from 1 to 26 dBm) (Use the minimum power necessary to connect to your wireless router or wireless access point (WAP). Use a higher dBm value to transmit the wireless signal over a longer distance.

2. Where is the "Wireless Client Bridge Antenna" located. Try to ensure a good "line-of-sight") as best as possible with the wireless router or WAP.

3. I assume you don't have any type of advanced security measures incorporated with your wireless router or WAP (i.e. Mac Filtering, Static IP addressing, etc.). I use both and I had to of course take several additional steps to get my IntelliCenter on my LAN. The default for IntelliCenter is DHCP addressing.

4. Also, please ensure that when you select "Connect to a Wireless Network" from the Network and WiFi Setup Screen (Advanced System Configuration), that you can see (and select) your particular WiFi Network.

Check out the above and ping me or PM me if I can help you "drill-down" a bit further to try to troubleshoot where the issue exists.

Order another IntelliValve cable and splice them together? I did something similar but for a different reason. If you want to extend the wiring of the IntelliValve, you will need 3 wires (for now. 2 more if you ever plan on using the advanced capabilities of the IntelliValve when that becomes available in the future). You will need to cut off about the last five feet or so from the 24v 3-pin power sockets (connector). Then you will need to "splice-in" an additional applicable length. Ensure you keep the color codes correct (Black, Red, White (optional - Yellow, Green). You can buy the 20 awg wiring on Amazon. This is what I used. CBAZY™ Hook up Wire Kit (Stranded Wire Kit) 20 Gauge 6 Colors 19.6 feet Each Electrical Wire 20 AWG PVC Wire But you may need to find something similar but longer lengths. I would certainly place the wiring in a conduit since they above linked wire is NOT rated for direct burial.

guinness for the win! I could’ve sworn the instructions said to NOT use the POE port on the back of the wireless client. Switched it and it fired right up! Thank you!!!

Now to extend these Intellivalves....

Thanks for the resource. You helped me identify the the installers had put the ethernet cable in the wrong, non-POE, port. Unfortunately I'm still having connectivity issues. Now I'm getting a "Unable to connect to Wifi device. Please check the WiFi device is powered, fully booted and the network cable is connected to the ethernet port on the back of the IntelliCenter main board (TCP ERR)" The power light is now on, along with one of the LAN lights. The far left WLAN light is flashing on every few seconds. Any ideas? All of those items mentioned seem in place.

Thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately no luck. It was already on. Tried turning it off and back on with no change.

The ethernet port on the back of the panel shows one green light and one orange light, both solid, if that adds anything to the conversation.

When I had that message I was able to get the wireless working by pressing the reset button on panel for 10 seconds and afterwards it worked.

I have the same issue, but understand that you have to set the engenius as a client bridge by logging into using a laptop and a secondary ethernet cable on the non-poe port. you then visit the website of the engenius by entering URL 192.168.1.1, make sure you hard set the IP address of 192.168.1.10 on the laptop to be able to talk to the engenius router. Using the default admin/admin credentials you're supposed to be able to authenticate and configure the engenius router to change it to a client bridge. My problem is that the default admin/admin doesn't work and i'm not able to get into the engenius router dashboard to configure it. I've reset the darn thing using a pin next to the non-poe ethernet port and it acts like it resets, but the default admin/admin doesn't work.
Does anyone here know if these wireless kits come preconfigured? regardless we still need to configure our home wifi SSID and password to the the engenius router so that it passes IP info to the intellicenter.
Any info is appreciated.

Nevermind, guinness thanks for the tip, resetting worked like you stated. apparently it passes all nearby wifi AP's, you just select your own and add the password through the intellicenter touch screen. Now the fun begins.

Nevermind, i followed guinness recommendation to reset the intellicenter panel and it worked as stated. apparently it passes all nearby wifi AP's, you just select your own and add the password through the intellicenter touch screen. Now the fun begins.
