I've searched the forum but can't find an answer to this. I am installing a Pentair IC40 with a VGreen 165 variable speed motor. I usually run the pump 24/7 due to our pool being located in close proximity to trees and we get a lot of organic matter that falls into the pool. (Western NY with a short swim season) I know the IC40 needs constant flow to prevent potential gas buildup. Is this an issue if I run the pump 24/7? The only time I could see a hazard would be if the pump malfunctioned and turned off without the IC40 turning off. How long does the pump need to be off before this becomes an issue? Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you for any help
John

The IC40 should have a flow sensor on it so it should shut down when the pump shuts down... that is the backup..
