My easy touch says my salt level is 4100ppm.
I've had the water tested twice at pool stores and it comes back around 3300.
I also tested it myself using the TFP test kit and it was like 3000.

does this mean there is a bad sensor somewhere? or is the value on the easytouch/ic40 known to be off? I would think the pool software uses this salt value to decide how to run the SWG?

That level of error is more than normal. Pentair SWCG runs independently of the ET, it just sends a salt reading at startup and every 12 hours if left running that long.

Is the SWCG happy? Green light for salt? Generating chlorine? If so, I would not worry about it.
