Hi Poolmama!
The only way to stop the pump from running in SERVICE mode is to turn off the pump Manual Circuit Control using its designated button in the Service Mode Menu.
But let's not worry too much about that because service mode is not the normal way that the IntelliCenter should operate.
I saw your question in PM and will respond to you there regarding how to setup the pump for NORMAL AUTO operation.
You should never really need to be in SERVICE MODE for normal operation.
r.
It was really a concern by the pool guy. We won't be using him (it was only during the 10 day start up+salt at 28 days that he was here), but in the event of repair or if we'd be out of town for an extended time, he said that's all they use for the pools they maintain. They aren't going to keep the log in info for 100+ pools they service in order to use the automation systems. I figured before we sign off on the pool as 'done' and make our final payment, we should be sure everything works as it should even if it's a feature that won't be used much.
