Pentair I-30

I have a Pentair iChlor30salt generator that is 3 years old. When I power on The flow light turns red then goes off and the salt led turns green then red and goes off. After this no Leds are on and it’s like the unit has no power. The greened is on, on the power board so it’s not the 10a fuse. What is causing it to do this? No response to any of the buttons on generator touchpad.

Your iChlor30 is undersized for a 28K pool. 3 years in MS is how long I would expect the cell to last.

We recommend a SWG cell be 2X the pool volume. An IntelliChlor IC-40 or even better an IC-60 would be a better replacement. They work with your existing Power Center but are longer and will need some PVC adjustment.

Chlorinate your pool with liquid chlorine daily until you replace the cell.

Thanks for info. Will look into another cell. Not a big fan of Pentair if I can only get 3 years out of a salt cell.

Not Pentair’s fault. The cell gave you all you paid for. The cell is small for your pool.

My last cell last 7+ years until a lighting strike took it out.

I do not believe that was an iChlor. They have not been available for 10 years.
