Pentair, Hayward and Jandy merge.

I was on board until I read that they will require anyone wanting to buy or service their equipment to attend the four year Penwarddy University. When industry publications questioned Penwarddy's CEO on the decision he responded, "How else are we going to keep the dumb, unwashed masses from touching this extremely elaborate and sophisticated equipment? Don't these people know that RS-485 uses a whole FOUR color coded wires? There's literally tens of possible ways to screw that up. Don't get me started on the 3 electrical connections."

In a Q&A session after the announcement, a Penwarddy public relations coordinator noted "Offering these classes online would be antithetical to our business model. Do you think people should be able to just go on the Internet to purchase or learn about things?"
