Hello Everyone! Would someone please help me determine how much DE I need to put into this Pentair FNS Plus filter. The label has torn off. Only number I found P/N 190029 REV. G. I attached some pics of the label and the filter. Thank you so much!

There is no good information on that part number available.

I'd call Pentair Technical Services at 800-831-7133.

You add 80% of the amount after a backwash - 5 lbs.

100% of the amount after a full breakdown - 6 lbs.

You'll have to measure the volume of the scoop. One pound of DE is equal to about 48 fluid ounces. My 36 oz scoop is equal to about 3/4 lb.

You can add it later...no worries.

I bought the

Blue Devil D.E. Scoop with Handle

My filter needs 6 lbs of DE. So should I put in 12 scoops of DE after a full breakdown?
That scoop looks to be a 1lb size. So, I would think you would need 6 scoops after a full breakdown. Why are you thinking it is a 1/2lb scoop?

I got a little confused with the table attached. It say no. of 1lb coffee cans = 12. According to blue scoop description it is supposed to hold up to the equivalent of a 1 lb. coffee. So I need 12 or 6 scoops? I'm confused there.
