Hello- My pool guy was out this week repairing a valve that cracked due to water making it's way into the pool return- our pool is currently closed for the winter and the hot tub remains open; somehow the toggle on the actuator got flipped (???) and water made it's way into the pool returns. While he was here he recommended taking out the section of pipe you see in the first picture to rule out any possibility of water making it's way into the pool plumbing during the winter. He then plugged up the pipe with an expansion pipe plug and left the actuator open in both directions. I went to use the hot tub for the first time last night and found that after about 5 minutes, the heater is shutting down and the Service Heater light is coming on. I'm wondering if this new plumbing and valve configuration is causing a water flow issue that is triggering the error. I'd like to try putting the valve back to 100% into the hot tub but not sure how to do that? Any thoughts, advice or direction on how to trouble shoot this? PS- fortunately the heater is able to come on long enough to maintain the water temp above 70 and avoid bigger issues in our cold, Colorado winter. Thx!
