Pentair EasyTouch 4 remote won’t power on

We just moved into a home with a pool and spa that uses the Pentair easytouch system. It runs automated and turns on and off at the same time consistently per previous owners schedule. We cannot figure out how to turn on the remote. Batteries have been changes but remote still won’t turn on so we can change settings, turn on light or heater, etc.

M,

Is the display just blank or is the problem that the buttons do not do anything?

Is the Automation still running the schedule it was set to??

Is this a wired remote that has a cable or is wired to a wall, or is this a wireless remote?

Calling @ogdento

Thanks,

Jim R.

If the remote has batteries, it must be the handheld wireless remote. The only way to turn on that remote is to press and hold the Menu button until the remote lights up. This should not take more than a second or two. If it still doesn’t work, double-check the batteries are inserted correctly.
