Pentair CVA24 actuator won't energize in correct position

Hey guys. I have a CVA24 that operates a fountain off the pool return line. With the switch in the On1 position the valve is closed and will not energize from the easytouch4 controller (checked at board and 24VAC is present). With the switch in On2 the value immediately opens and stays open, and when I try to turn the water feature "on" from the easytouch it instead moves the valve to the closed position - exactly the opposite of what I want. Not sure what's gone wrong here and looking for troubleshooting advice. This is a seasonal home and it's possible that the pool guy has inadvertently done something (though he says he hasn't).

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

David,

It certainly could be the micro-switches... but if the problem is that the valve rotates backwards, that is exactly what the little switch is for. If it works backwards when in the On1 position, move it to the On2 position and leave it there.

On the other hand, if it moves one way and won't come back, it is generally the internal switches..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks for your response fellas. When I flip the switch to the On1 position, the valve closes and trying to control it from easytouch has no effect (valve doesn't move). Then I flip the switch to the On2 position, the valve immediately opens without any input from easytouch. Then trying to operate it from easytouch the valve goes from an open position to a closed position. If I could reverse this behavior I would be set. So would the consensus be bad micro switches?

Thanks!
