Pentair Clean & Clear + 320 to 520

As a typical pool in Florida, my PB installed a too small Pentair 320 filter. I wanted to go to a 420 or 520 but the prices seems pretty steep so I was going to give up on the idea for a few years... Last week searching Amazon's warehouse deals found a "Use" 520 lid for $82 (it was brand new in original Pentair sealed box) and a 4 pack of Pleatco filters "damaged box" for $70 (filters still sealed, corner of the box smashed). For $160 I now have a 520!

That was a great find!!!

I have the 520 and love it. Running my pump at 1200 RPM my filter pressure is only about 1 lb.

Way to score P_B !! I have a 500 with 35k gallons and have similar results to Jim at lower speeds. You might as well not even have a gauge, Set a phone alarm to clean it sometime in 2022.
