I have the Pentair (S-20?) Admiral skimmer and a tab broke off the weir door. This is the second one I've replaced in about 5 years but I can't figure out how I installed the last one. So I bought a cheap quality one at a local pool store and it didn't survive the install process. A hammer helped it meet its end.
I got a new one today and I was trying for like an hour before it got to be too dark.
How does this install? I've read reviews where people described an install. I tried it from inside the pool. I can't for the life of me get it to hook on both pins. As a side detail, the rubber stopper (which I just learned about) is not there, which should make it easier, but it didn't. I can figure out just about anything mechanical, but this has me stumped. There are also no Youtube videos to be found that are not for the spring-loaded type.
If anyone can figure it out, the people of TFP can. Thanks in advance.

It’s probably easier to show the actual vendor’s pictures then get a shot of my skimmer.

I do believe that one just goes in at an angle with one side in and then drop or slide the other side in.. is it not latching when you try to squeeze it into the hole?

I actually got it in. I was in the pool and passed it in from the skimmer. Hooked one side and then the other. One hook got slightly bent but I was gentle with pliers and got it back into place. Thanks all!
