Does anyone have experience with the waterproofing of the Pentair 521885 iS4 Four-Function Spa-Side Remote if mount flat and water is pouring on it constantly say from the rain?

I believe the spa aide remotes are well sealed from water which is why they come with a non replaceable wire.
I have the Jandy equivalent to the IS4 mounted horizontal in a recess on the floor of my deck next to my spa.
And rain is not water pouring on it constantly like if it was placed under a waterfall.
