My 7 year old 2HP SuperFlo is nearing the end of life. Squeaking pretty bad and worried neighbors will start to complain. I see they no linger make the single speed superflo that I have now SF-N1-2A.
I was told The Superflo VST Part number 342002 is the replacement but to me I would only be getting the same HP if I ran it full speed and then what is the point of the variable pump. As it is I have 2 skimmers and and drain with 4 heads, and when the filter is running right after a backwash there is just a slight pull on the skimmers, and when the filter gets a little bit dirty the skimmers almost stop their flow , which makes me think the 2HP in there is not enough.
Any thoughts on what the replacement should be?
