PebbleTec stain by underwater light housing

I have a stain at my underwater light housing and curious how to remove and prevent it from coming back.

I tried a pumice stone and that didn't do anything and I was hesitant to get aggressive.

This is a SW pool with good numbers. This stain started about a year ago when I added a color LED bulb to the existing light housing. I did buy a new brass screw which was recommended. I'm not sure this is from the screw. The bulb is dry and watertight.

I took two underwater pictures to show the area. I searched and could not find anything relevant.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! :handshake:

It appears to be a rust stain. You can remove it by taking Vitamin C tablets, putting them in a sock, crushing them, and holding the sock against the stain.

If you are interesting in learning more about TFPC, I suggest you read Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Trouble Free Pool School book.
