My Jandy Aqualink PDA-PS8 is not showing the water temperature. It is not showing "--", like others have reported. It is just blank where water temp used to be. I can replace the water temp sensor (done it before), but I don't want to do that if it isn't the problem. Might I have some settings in the unit wrong so that the temp isn't displayed? Any other ideas?

BTW, the air temp sensor was dangling inside the control box, where in direct sunlight in Phoenix in July can register 25F above actual. Moved that to the bottom of the box, in the shade, now OK.

Swap the water temp sensor and the air temp sensor wires at the board.

If the water temp then reads the air temp then it confirms you need to replace the water sensor.

Thx.
With the sensors swapped, the "Air" temperature (actually physically water temp sensor) is 86F - correct. Where I expect to see water temperature is still blank. nothing. no "--".
When they are connected correctly, Air temperature is correctly reported at 100F. Water temp is still blank.

Then the sensors are good and it is probably a bad board unfortunately.

Figured it out. Feel kinda dumb. The Water temp is only displayed when the pump is in Pool or Spa mode. When it is in VSP1 SPD ADJ (for Cleaner), it does not display. Weird.

Glad you figured it out.

You should be in POOL mode while you then adjust the pump speed for the cleaner.
