hi there,

does anybody know if there is a difference between ColorScapes by NPT and Diamondbrite by SGM in terms of durability / quality? I understand that both are quartz aggregates. I tried to find anything on the web but was not successful. I only found that Quartzscapes uses larger quartz fragments vs ColorScapes which will yield a stronger surface and one that has the potential to last longer.


Our PB quoted Diamondbrite but today installed ColorScapes (allegedly same color). The earlier has not need available for a long time. PB says they are essentially the same.

Any difference in durability / quality will be due to the quality of the installation job and not the materials. I would not make a stink about the substitution.

We are going through the same issue and wish we could get color scape.

We have changed our color once and that was out

now we are just saying get us anything

You have my full sympathy. Our pool was drained for 2 month while we waiting for the plaster. Luckily the weather was bad for quite some time anyway.
