Getting quotes on having travertine set and have a aesthetic question. Is it ok to use 24" coping on the straight runs and 4" on the curves? I haven't even noticed if that is normal practice on other pools.

If you want to make 4 inch the pool side face, you will need to start with wider coping to make the radius.
Yes but if you have 4" bullnose at the curves, will it look ok to use longer faces when you can, on the straight runs? Or should they all be 4"?

I'm not following why the 4" is the fixed length or the long 24". To make the turn, you are going to have to narrow the front about 40% depending on how tight the radius is. That's going to make small edges, less than 4". The 24" is too long to cut and make the turn and stay uniform, so why not have them cut to fit all starting with same width, say 10"?
