Patch edge coming up

I've got a patch that's been on a couple of years (same age as the liner thanks to an umbrella base tipping and falling in 🤬) that is starting to come up on a couple of edges. Is there any way to use adhesive to reattach those edges? I used a piece of the liner and probably boxer 100 adhesive. Worry about the robot (cleaner) catching it and pulling it further, not sure that's really a huge worry or just my imagination though. Know I don't want to try to pull it off and risk tearing or enlarging the puncture. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

I would try to have someone hold me under water n trim the lifted patch. Then come up for air and prepare 2 more patches being bigger than the last patch. It just gives you insurance that they wont leak.

Yeah, a larger patch was kinda what I was figuring also, but in my haste to patch this when it happened (it was cold and I was worried that the gash would allow water to start washing sand out from under the cut, and also really frustrated 😄), I cut the patch larger than I really needed, so adding another is just going to make it that much larger. Though, trimming the edges will help that some. I have a heck of a time staying down on the bottom, so always have to have someone holding me down. My wife (who is half fish) dives effortlessly - she'll see something on the bottom and want me to look at it - she's practically sitting on the bottom waiting for me as I fight my way down. My non-detachable flotation devices work too well. 🤷‍♀️
