Just wondering if I'm being sold old stock. The plastic tabs on these lids under the cap just fall right off and I just use my knuckle to open it up. When pouring in the skimmer it doesn't look as dark either. Can anyone decipher this code?

I would interpret that as being made the 137th day of the year 2020. That would be May 16th. So, yes, it is kind of old but should still have some life to it.

A few months old is considered old ? I didn’t know that

The higher the storage temperature, the weaker it is now. Was it stored inside (air conditioned) or outside?

If stored at high temperatures, it could lose close to half its strength in that time.

I store it in an air conditioned garage. But I was more worried about it being from a previous year. So Im sure it is fine. Thanks all.

You shouldn't be pouring this straight in to the skimmer as it's not doing the equipment any good but rather into the pool and pool in front of the return.

Some on this forum say that pouring bleach into the skimmer is OK.

Like epro05 said, I actually started doing this from advice on this forum. I do pour it in slowly.
