ozone connector replacement

I have read, and totally agree, that ozonators are not necessary. My barb broke and I am looking to cap it off. Do I need to drain my filter or should the pump be on? I could only find information about changing this out on a spa and closing valves. Since I don't have a spa, I am not sure about the valves.

Welcome to TFP.

Show us your situation with pictures of your equipment pad, valves, and the ozonator.

Pump should be off.

It is possible that the black part of this is removable (unscrew). Would have to see a horizontal picture to see the White/Black interface.

It is likely a standard PVC thread.

If, as depicted from CMP, then you likely can get a PVC cap and cap the hole.

Show us your entire equipment pad.

We don’t know what filter or pumps you have or how things are plumbed.
