Is there an optimal place to install an overflow pipe so that it's hidden from view but still functional and effective? Perhaps inside a skimmer?

Florida pools often have an overflow at the back of the skimmer. Basically just a hole in the back with 3/4" PVC plumbed out of the pool and usually down into the gravel bed under the pool or other discharge location.

pjt,

A lot of skimmers have a knockout just for that reason.. It can be used for an overflow or a fill line.

I have a fill line in my skimmer and an overflow in the top part of the tile line. It is connected to the deck drains and goes out to the street.. It is a lot bigger than the small hole in the skimmer.

Thanks,

Jim R.
