I have no idea why ORP readings are so low. Rola-Chem Gold ORP probe was replaced on May 10, 2017, but for the last 2 weeks numbers way down.
Wed. 9am
ORP 180
FC 11.2
CC .0
Alk 80
Ph 7.4
CYA 70
Salt 4000
So I turned off the cells at controller.
Thur 9am
ORP 195
FC 10.4
CC .0
Alk 80
Ph7.4
CYA 70
Salt 4000
This morning @ 9am
ORP 175
FC 9.0
CC .0
Alk 70
Ph 7.3
CYA 60
Salt 4000
Why is the ORP #'s not reflecting the chlorine #'s? Can a probe be "burnt out"? When I returned from vacation 4 weeks ago, I found the cells plugged into outlet instead of controller, meaning 3 cells running 24/7. FC was 16. Today I ordered another probe, just to be safe. A PB friend told me the cells out "gased" the pool, is there articles i can read on this, or is this a possibility? I have not turned the cells on as of typing.
