I have stains on my plaster that are from acorns that sank and deteriorated on the bottom. Being organic they should clear on their own but my question is whether I can or need to elevate the FC to a specific level to get this done quicker.

If you’re careful about it, you can grab a chlorine puck and rub it on the stains. I’d wear some gloves though while doing it to avoid having your hands smell like chlorine for the rest of the day.
