Tested my water today after some heavy rains here in FL these last two days and my results were

FC 0
CC 0
P/H 8
TA 60
CH 200
Temp 92

I added bleach right away to bring to 7.

I also added some baking soda because I have been wanting to raise TA to 70 to bring in line.

How soon should I wait after adding baking soda to add acid to lower PH? I would like to lower to 7.5 but can’t remember where I read it but I read you should not lower PH by more then 4 in one day. Is this accurate? Would doing so lower TA right away? I thought I might add enough acid to lower to 7.6 or so and then add a little the next day or two to bring to 7.5.

Should I test TA again first?

TA of 60 would have been fine. You don’t need to yo-yo with pH and TA.

You can add MA and chlorine 30 minutes apart. You can also make incremental adjustments to pH 30 minutes apart.
