Options for fixing waterfall leak

We just bought this house and will be surfacing the pool and replacing tiles sometime in the next 8 months.

Today we found the waterfall leaking. I dug around the pluming and the leak seems to be under the coping of our waterfall. I checked the plumbing and all seems to be in fine so I’m guessing it’s the waterfall itself.

Is it possible to remove the coping above the waterfall and replace the water fall and reseat the coping or should we just turn it off and look to redo coping and water wall when we resurface? Was hoping not to not have to redo too much.

You never know if the coping stone will pop off easily or not. It may be reusable or it may break. The repair may be easy or you could open up a can of worms.

All depends when you are ready to tackle it and deal with whatever is uncovered.
