Dang OPKs!

Last Saturday the pool was perfectly crystal clear (as usual) FC bumped to 12ppm, CYA 80ish, pH dropped to 7.2 to lower TA and get ready for some aeration, waterfall is on, SWG is on 100% just in case. All of a sudden I'm thinking the water is looking purty cloudy! What? Why? Test FC and it's 0!

3 jugs of bleach to raise FC back to 12ppm and the pool is clear again in less than 30 minutes.

Start thinking about what those OPKs have been doing and think, hmmmm, I don't remember them getting out in a loooonnnggg time. What tha?!? One of em musta peed in my pool!

What is OPK? Other People's Kids! Be very afraid! And keep some bleach around.

You can hardly blame them, they see the dog do it. Use the old “we put a purple chemical in the water that detects human pee” trick. Works for mine...probably.
