Opening up pool with mesh cover

This is only the second season we have had a mesh cover. In previous years we had a cover that was not mesh and when we opened the pool it was crystal clear.

Our water is dark and murky. It doesn't look like algae. We have a lot of pine trees around our pool and so that doesn't help. Would I still use the SLAM method to clear this up?

I have a mesh cover too. I have 25,000 gallon pool. I SLAM and run the pool robot and it will clear in 1-2 days.

I also have a mesh cover and open to a small mess that clears very quickly for the past couple years.

Yup. Get that chlorine high. I also went from a solid to a mesh cover and have the same issue since switching.
