Of course it will be ok. You're losing 2 to 3 ppm a day and you have 6FC leeway to the 50 CYA min of 4.

You might not have 2 full days to spare if one day has particularly high UV, but tomorrow is all but guaranteed.

Do u think it will level off here or maybe even go down to 7.2???

You're overthinking it with vinyl. Any 7 is equally ok. You used to beat it down with all that CYA (acid) so it *used* to be low 7s. It might stabilize higher now, but there is no 'more ok' than ok. If it's a 7, walk away.

Always walk away as soon as you get the endpoint of the test. If you take a few minutes cleaning up, anything else that happens doesn't matter.

End of day. My fc is 7.5. And my ph is 7.5. All good. I used 9 as my target for fc and the only amount i need to get it there is 21 ounces. I used 24 ounces to give a little leeway. Boy what a difference from when i was putting in 64 ounces or more of bleach because of the CYA. Thank u.

Let me ask u this. I will not test tomorrow. I will as i am getting accustomed to my fc loss of about 3 ppm per day i will just assume that tomorrow evening my fc should be again about 7. So i will continue to add about 24 ounces daily. Am i doing this right??

My mind is working again. When u say to test every other day. Here is my question. I did not test today. When i test tomorrow do i test at dusk after the sun reduces my fc. So that i know how much bleach to put in that night. Because if i test in the morning i usually do not add bleach till sundown and if i test in am i am not considering the reduction of fc. So what should br my plan being that i will add 24 ounces tonight without testing. So tomorrow should i test in am or pm?? I know i sound crazy. Sorry

It doesn't matter. You are either adding it back, or adding it before its needed.

But you like pm's, so test every other pm. Add what it's been needing on the easy night.

I seem to be adding the same amount now Every night(25 to 30 ounces) anyway. I just am not testing daily. What i hope to see is that my fc stays at around 9-10 by doing this routine

At this point it seems like you’ve got the chemistry down and now you’re at the point you start to figure out how you can best combine this knowledge for your personal routine. Care for your pool as often as you can in good times because life will happen and you will get distracted and have to neglect it at times. The higher the bar you set now the less likely neglect will be a major issue.

Wow. Ph between 7.5 and 7.8. And chlorine from comparator block is probably 9 or so. Brighter yellow than the top color. And the pool looks heavenly. Thank u again and again a million times

First night pic. Adding some bleach now. Looks nice still. Have not vacuumed since Monday. Just adding about 25 to 30 ounces of bleach nightly. Will vacuum tomorrow. That skimmer sock is amazing. My filter basket has never gotten dirty

Fc was only 4 just now. Yet pool looks clear and blue. Added. Suggested amount 84 ounces to keep it around 10. Will check tomorrow. Good night all

And my TA turned a slight red in the test at 10 drops for sure but really turned a better red at 11 drops. So is my TA considered 100 or 110. Does everything look ok with the pH. I know u said anything in the 7’s. Also my fc is above 10 at the moment

Just reTest ph at the end of the day today or tomorrow after fc drops some & adjust it back to the 7’s.
The ta test ends when there is no further color change so if 12 drops looked the same as 11 then it’s 110.
