I was out of town and my wife added 28 oz of soda ash instead of acid to my pool.... Please help me fix it?
She sent me a pics of the chlorine/PH test, and looked on pool math, and told her how much chlorine and Acid to add, and how to do it over the phone.
It's a decent story I can tell later if anyone wants a laugh, but the gist is that instead of 36 oz of liquid acid, she used the liquid measuring cup and added 36 oz of soda ash. She slowly poured it in over the jets, as you do with acid. I got home late last night and it is sitting on the bottom of my pool.
The good news is when I tested the water last night, the chemical levels were ok, I am guessing because it didn't dissolve.
Can I use my robot to glean it out, should I vacuum to waste? Any other ideas to get the soda ash of the bottom of the pool? I brushed last night, and it stirred it up, but it's right back on the bottom this morning. My fear is it is going to stain my blue plaster to grey.
Thanks.
