Online links try to open in tapatalk,

Any links to TFP online try to open in tapatalk, which is kind of annoying any specific reason for this? I remember the site use to be on tapatalk, but not anymore.

That sounds like an issue with your web browser, that it is set to open forums (just TFP or all forums) in Tapatalk. You'll need to change that setting so it opens in the browser and not Tapatalk.

I'm actually shocked they're still allowed to do this. My gut says it's been awhile since the App was updated.

Try this,
Settings --> Apps --> Tapatalk --> Open by default --> "clear defaults"
