One skimmer port appears sealed

Possibly just tied together with a T near the pool and then to the equipment.

The suction should be relatively close.

It's not a good way to do it, but many pools are like that.

Late to report back but I figured it out. There was some sort of twist valve on top of the skimmer hole that draws water in. It wasn't in fact capped after all, just closed. I opened up the valve and it's now drawing in water. So I now officially have two working skimmers. Thanks everyone for your help. I know I'll be back with more questions as time goes by.
