So, our 9x18 Intex pool has been up year-round for the last 3 years with no issues. At the end of the season last year, I noticed the water on one side went up over 3 inches. I figured somewhere the ground had sunk so I disassembled the pool, packed it all up and left the project for this spring. Well last weekend I went to take a look and found that the 2x12 PT wood under the 2 end supports had not only sunk but also split. So dug it all out, put down a 3-inch base of pea stone and now using (2) 16x16 cement pavers stacked. All the other supports are fine, but I am thinking might as well redo all of them. As we used a commercial compactor, the only thought I have is the pool water that escapes due to waves the kids make had saturated the ground destabilizing the area.
