OmniLogic heater not working

Hello.

Whenever I try and turn the heater on via my phone app, online, or even at the control panel the heater will not turn on. It has always worked up until now and can't seem to find the problem. If I put the heater back into manual operation I can turn it on, I've updated the firmware and still nothing. It seems that I am not getting 24v to from the omniligic to the heater to turn on. Placed a meter on it and nothing. You can hear the relays switching but still not getting 24v. I'm at a loss. Even reconfigured and nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a bad relay in the Omnilogic system. Especially since you are not getting 24v on the relay. No error codes on the system such as “temp sensor shorted water sensor” ?

Correct no codes or faults.

Even if I’m hearing a click the relay would be bad?
I'm having the exact same issue and just started this year (3rd year with the system). I hear the relay click in the omni panel but heater does nothing. I haven't checked the voltages but sounds like the same issue you had. Take it out of bypass mode and fires up fine.

May I ask if you ever figured it out and what you did to fix it?

Thanks!

Mike

No unfortunately I haven’t. I’ve just resorted to turning it on manually. I believe it might be the whole circuit board which costs almost as much as a whole new system. When it gets closer to winter I’ll call a tech out to troubleshoot and see what the costs are. Sorry.

so, figured out the issue with mine.. not sure if it will be the same for you..

Omni has two ways to be wired to the heater.. 2 wire and 3 wire. In 3 wire the omni is smart enought to set the heater to spa or pool mode as required so simply putting it in bypass and leaving it in standby is fine. Since I don't have a spa they used the 2 wire method to wire the heater to the omni, which means it has to be in bypass AND once in bypass you have to push the mode button two more times on teh heater to put the heater in pool mode. Once I did that the heater fired up when turning it on from the omni.

Since you mentioned voltage issyes perhaps yours isnt as simple a fix but thought I'd let you know.

I've tried all different ways to get it to turn on but nothing and I as well have the two wire but I have a spa as well. It's weird because it worked fine at one time but something changed. Im still not seeing any kind of voltage at the omni panel when switching it on. You can hear a relay click but no voltage on any of them.

So glad I came across this today. This was exactly my issue and was bothering me for a week. Made an account just to post this thanks!
