I just found out some pack rats got into my hot tub shell. I'm pulling up the outside layer of bubble wrap to vacuum out all the acorn shells but there's another layer of bubble wrap around the fiberglass and piping. Is it okay to just kind of rip out what I need to in places so I can make sure I get everything vacuumed up well? I'd also like to check that they didn't chew wires and pipes etc. Then I would thinking to re-insulate just with some Rockwell bats stuffed in everywhere. I was thinking to do that anyway for sound reasons.
