O/B Pool Henderson Nevada..

Re: O/B Henderson Nevada Pool (starting stage)

For all of you people in Vegas looking at doing a pool build - I'm working with a guy who is doing my excavating. He does pools for a living and only really works with owner/builders. So we have been talking and has a list of people (subs) that he works with and recommends, anyway, the prices he's getting from them are lower than the same quotes I received from the same subs.. Plus he is holding their feet to the fire with the work. So far he seems legit and has been nothing but honest and upfront with me. If you want his name then PM me and I'll sent it to you.

Chop.

That is a good question Suz! Making sure we know what he is asking.

Chop I have a pm into some PO that have built pools with spas asking for their input on this.

Just in case it is the ends of the pipes coming out into the spa I found this product:

JetPaks - Paramount Pool and Spas

I have no idea how good they are. There was one build that used these. I am looking for the thread now to remind myself what their thoughts were or to get them to share their thoughts.

Hi Chop, are you talking about the plumbing connecting the spa jets or the fittings (which you would see that control spray and/or force)?

Suz

Hey Suz, yea I’m talking both. I’d like to know what connection is used, is it a universal type or are they proprietary to each manufacturer. Also what is the best type for inside the spa and what to avoid.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Kim,

Yea being a neophyte with this stuff I’d like to know options so I know how to proceed with the build.

Thanks again.

Re: O/B Henderson Nevada Pool (starting stage)

I’m not sure the name of my jets but I can check. I do know that the nozzle can change directions so you can change the direction of the streams.
I’m not positive but I think most are similar unless you want a super fancy type of nozzle that has a massage type of stream.
I think bdavis will be the best to chime in on this one.
On another note I would love for you to pm me the name of your sub, I have a lot of people contact me and if he’s solid I wouldn’t mind recommending him

Re: O/B Henderson Nevada Pool (starting stage)

The big dig is started. Should be done by Saturday. Next week I’ll be in Peru so the week after comes Plumber, Elec, and Steel.

 Make sure to lock the stuff UP!!!

Umbrella holders-goes both ways depending on who does it  Some do it in the rebar making sure to be able to move it up and down to make sure it is flush with the poured decking. Some put them in during the pour but still have to make sure it is flush with the decking.

SO to me it would be better to put them in before the pour with a small flag marking them so no one missed them as they pour. My thinking is there would be no way to forget to put them in this way. Where if you wait you might forget to put them in until it is too late.
