TFP family,

Just finished installed a circupool RJ60+ SWG myself and busy tuning the Salt PPM & FC level. For salt ppm, water is currently tested with K-1766 and return with 4200ppm. There is NO complaint from the RJ60+ for Hi-Salt, but would like to know if it is okay for not able to fall within 3500-4000ppm as recommended.

Running an old single speed pump for long hours is expensive at Bay Area, CA. PG&E has been raising the electricity price year after year and my energy bill’s been climbing, and for worse… I have no solar yet.

Really want to change to VS pump that could integrate with my Jandy RS Control + Aqualink2.0 and hope that there is a feature to control the pump RPM and programming from my iPhone as I am somewhat tired of running into the pool room for equipment check and adjustment.

My pool setup is in my signature and I have 230V supply with 2” plumbing. Which pump is power efficient, reliable, quiet, plus compatible with Jandy RS control ….. I know I know, I am asking for “the perfect pump”.

For now, just run your SWCG at 100% and only run it as long as needed to gain the 3-4ppm you need daily.
Once you move to VS pump, you'll be able to run much longer for much less electrical cost. I'm ~190 watts per hour.

Is Jandy pumps my only options? Or any other brand would work well with Jandy automation and the SWG.
Also, There are several models in Jandy VS pump lineup: Epump, PlusHP, FlowPro. What are the major differences?
Can I buy Jandy directly from retailer and install myself or I have to buy & Install through authorized dealer?

Is there any expert here can review and approve/dislike my Salt PPM level? I am eager to know if I need to drain some water to get it within range. = )

Jandy is the only 100% compatible pump if you want to use Jandy automation. Intelliflo VS/VF is theoretically compatible but people report mixed results. Yes, they do only sell to installers but you can probably get your local pool supply store to sell you one.

Your salt should be ok.

All the Jandy pumps appear as "ePump" within Aqualink.
