Not sure if algae or something else?

Good morning,

Been getting the pool ready for this season and getting my chemicals back in there. The pool itself isn't too bad just there's this stuff on the bottom that looks like sand but whenever I brush it, it goes into a cloud like when you brush algae. Then it settles back in about 30 or so minutes. I also read it could be pollen but I'm not so sure because of how much their is. I'm attaching images below.

I was planning to just keep the pump running and keep vacuuming and brushing as much as I can whilst making sure my FC is maintained but not sure if I need to bring it up to SLAM level and keep it there.

Any tips on what it is and how to combat it would be appreciated.

You need a pool cleaner to vacuum the pool and pickup the stuff that settles to the bottom of the pool.

Well when I vacuum the pool the stuff at the bottom goes into a cloud and passes through the bag on my pool blaster which is what's confusing me as to what it is.

Personally, with visible algae, I'd just start the SLAM.

What bag are you using in your Pool Baster cleaner?

The default one that came with it. It's like a cloth type of bag. Like this one below.
