New member here. I've had a copper ionizer for years and pleased with my water quality. I'm getting mixed messages on adding algaecide. There is a non chlorine product that I want to try. There's seems to be limited experience in my area re maintenance using non- chlorine products- shock and algaecide. I need guidance!

Hey Patty and Welcome !!!!

We don't do any of that here. It's all problematic and expensive. For example, algecide depletes chlorine and vice versa, leaving you with less of each. And it can't overcome an active algae bloom so anyone adding it after the fact is too late.

Here's what our method does for folks around the world. Please click below and scroll the whole thing then come tell me if you'd like to join us. :) Also, it's cheap and easy to do so.

Patty- you're adding copper, which can fight algae, but does nothing for sanitation. How do you deal with that?
You can have a perfectly clear pool and yet have person-to-person transmission, gastric disorders, and far too ,many other things you don't want to swim in.
Copper also can cause green hair and stains on the pool.
