Can anyone provide some insight as to why my new Hayward pool pump would be making this noise? It’s a regular pattern and happens every 30 seconds.

Check your skimmer weir door is not sticking.

Is the pump connected to any automation?
Make a warranty claim with the installer. The noise is not normal.

Yes, it’s connect to OmniLogic automation panel. Nothing shows o. The panel when it happens but the PSI drops right down.

It almost sounds like it's power cycling.
If OmniLogic is put in service mode and the pump controlled from the pump panel itself, does the pump still do this?
It's new, so should be under warranty.
Who did you buy it from?
"Professional" or self installation?
What pump did this one replace and did the old pump ever make this noise?

yes. The PSI on the pressure gauge drops right down and then picks back up. It repeats this every 30 seconds. But, when we run the waterfall, the pressure remains constant and we don't have the issue.

Does the pump have a clear lid where you can see the water flow in the pump basket?
I think the pump has an internal problem causing the motor to stall.
You should make a warranty claim on the pump.

Sounds like maybe a voltage issue.
Check the event log.

Measure the voltage and current to see what's happening.
