Just replaced my pump on Monday (laboring on Labor Day) and it's appears to be running fine. Now my pool level has dropped 1-2 inches and the pressure gage on the sand filter is reading zero. I cannot find any leaks (i.e. no wet areas) anywhere around the exposed plumbing, filter, pump etc. My new pump is running 24-7 right now as I'm slamming my pool. Any thoughts?

That was the first thing I checked since it is right next to the pressure gage. Hardly ever use the waste anyway.
If you have normal flow coming out of your returns, then you have pressure so you must have a faulty pressure gauge.
Unrelated to the gauge, you also have a significant pool leak.

Any chance that during all the previous maintenance, you got the in & out lines swapped from the filter by any chance?

I didn't do any filter maintenance just replaced the pump. I'll go with the faulty gage and replace it. I've had significant short term water losses before. Thanks for the replies!
