No drain plug in pump

I'm getting ready to close my pool and realized my pump does not have any drain plugs.

I have a Hayward Turbo Flo II . You can see the two holes in the picture where drain plugs would normally go. I called Hayward and they said my pump shares the same plastic casing as the higher end models but doesn't have the holes tapped. I would have to tap the holes myself. I want to use a compressor to blow out my lines, should I just do it from the skimmer?

Thanks

You could work from the skimmers. There have been members against this method as the joints could come loose, but once primer/glue is set, the probability is very unlikely. I have seen many people use this method without any issues. Although, if possible your best bet would be at the equipment pad.

Do you have any unions? If not, you can get a hose in the pump housing with the correct pool blower. Please read the post below and links as there is some information. In addition, what blower are you using to clear the lines? Thank you.
