No de coming out with backwash

I am backwashing my de filter and realized no de powder is coming out. Water was clear from the start. I have a multiport valve on a hayward 4820. And yes, I know there was powder put in. Pool has been great. Last backwash was maybe beginning of June. Return flow was low yesterday, pressure was up 25%.
Any thoughts or suggestions before I continue? Actually… not sure how to proceed for fear if overloading.

It is time to open up the filter and clean it by hand. A backwash does not remove 100% of the DE and it will build up over time. Which filter do you have and have you ever opened it to clean it out?
