It sounds like my EXACT situation. Our chlorinator also stopped working about two years ago and we just replaced it. We are having the exact same issue. I have tested my water using strips, liquid, a digital test and I brought it to the pool store. So unfortunately, last time I brought it, I had just shocked the pool so that reading wasn’t accurate. Saltwater generator appears to be working when you look at it. But I am not getting a free chlorine reading from my pool. We are frustrated and don’t know what to do.
