First, I want to say my first ever season with a pool was wildly successful thanks to this place. We never had any time wasted fixing water chemistry, never any algae blooms, etc, tested my own water cleaned my own pool. Thanks.

I'm planning the closing, but I'm just curious how I can get the water below the returns when I don't have a bottom drain. Do I just do an old hose and siphon, or?

Siphon a hose to a lower area if you have one for the slow method, or buy a submersible pump that has a garden hose attachment. They are $100 or so at HD/Lowe’s /Amazon. I got the $130 one that had a little more HP. I hacked mine for more flow seen here.
