If the water is clear and hasn't been a problem then I agree it is just as wet.. keep it as is..
But if you have a green swamp you have to decide what makes the most sense.
We can turn almost any old green swamp into a clear pool but there is a cost.. In some locations wet water is very cheap and it might make more sense to drain and start over vs. buying a 50 gallons of bleach. In other locations, the cost of water, or water restrictions, make it a much simpler decision.
